José Serrano

MHHC Board Chair

A dedicated public servant and community advocate, former member of the US Air Force and retired Community Relations Liaison, Mr. José Serrano, is the longest serving member of the Morris Heights Health Center Board of Directors; having served on the board for thirty-five (35) years. He remains actively connected and committed to the individuals and families of the Morris Heights region, as a member of the Board of Davidson Community Center, a local community resource facility that is a longstanding partner of Morris Heights Health Center.

Additionally, he brings to MHHC Board of Directors and the organization his steadfast advocacy; in-depth knowledge, expertise and relationship building skills from within the legislative arena, which continues to support the organization’s ongoing efforts to expand ease access to care, to the culturally and economically diverse communities that we serve.

Mr. Serrano remains unwavering in his commitment to individuals and families of Morris Heights and by extension the borough of the Bronx. He continually seeks to ensure that MHHC remains in tune with addressing the prevailing health and social needs of its communities; remains an economic engine; anchor and safe haven for its communities and above all, that we remain true to delivering quality affordable care to all, in keeping with the Center’s mission and sustained values.
