Join us for our 20^thannual Impact Awards Gala that will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the beautiful Marina Del Ray located in the Bronx. This year’s theme is Health & Wellness, focusing our efforts on all aspects of the patient’s health and overall wellbeing. Guests will enjoy an evening of fine dining, live entertainment, a silent auction, and an honoree and scholarship award presentation. At this year’s gala, we will be honoring Senator Jamaal T. Bailey, 36^th NYS Senate District; Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte-Hermelyn, NYS Assembly District 42; Tomas Ramos, CEO & Founder of The Oyate Group’s Bronx Rising Initiative; Vicki Schneps, CEO & Founder of Schneps Media; Jose Serrano, MHHC Board Member; and Hiram Torres, VP of Operations, BronxCare Health System.

Since 1997, the MHHC Foundation has mobilized over $50 million to aid in the fight against poverty and inequality, enhance the programs of MHHC, and support the 57,000+ patients who call the multi-site health system their medical home. However, the true health of a community cannot be measured by doctor visits alone. We understand that in life, health without opportunity is not well-being, and well-being without education is not wellness. As such, since 2013, MHHC has offered an annual need-based scholarship program to provide financial support to low-income, college-bound students. To date, the Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling $500,800 to students.

Along with the scholarships, funds raised through this year’s gala will help support our next IMPACTful initiative—The MHHC Integrative Health and Wellness Center. This new health center is designed to foster good health and address the social risk factors that disproportionately impact residents in the Bronx. The six-story, 62,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art facility will offer clinical, preventive, and social services including but not limited to, holistic medical care, a senior center, child-care center, fitness center, teaching kitchen with garden, adult, financial and computer literacy, and a community meeting space, all under one roof.
