HARRISON CIRCLE - GOAL ACHIEVED
The MHHC Foundation is pleased to announce that the Capital Campaign goal of $45 million to construct the mixed-use facility Harrison Circle - has been realized.
Thank You to all who have been instrumental in helping us achieve this major milestone. Support for this project cut across every strata of our community –Federal, State, New York City, Bronx Borough President, Local Community Organizations and Businesses, Friends, Patients and Staff. This trailblazing project utilized an innovative financing model to secure the $45 million needed for construction. Ground Breaking Ceremony for Harrison Circle was February 29, 2008 at corner of West Burnside Avenue and Harrison Avenue in the Southwest Bronx. Harrison Circle is scheduled to be completed June 2010.
New Campaign: Goal - $7 Million
- MHHC Foundation is seeking to raise $6 million to renovate the Morris Heights Health Center “flagship” facility, which is over 30 years old, to make it more patient (consumer) friendly, service efficient and continue the transformation of the Southwest corridor of the Bronx.
- MHHC Foundation is seeking to raise $1 million to establish the Morris Heights University (MHU) – a comprehensive, coordinated teaching and learning center. MHU will focus on skill development in clinical proficiency and knowledge, information technology, management development and work skills for frontline staff and community residents.
